September 2011 sees a small group consisting of myself and some of my former WSET Diploma students travelling to the Chianti region of Italy to participate in a wine tour run by Filippo Magnani of fufluns.com and sponsored by the Chianti wine growers Consorzio. This should be a fascinating insight into Tuscany and its wines.
On 11 October 2011 a group of nine wine enthusiasts will be travelling with us to Perpignan in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France for a 5 day Wine Tour, based in the Auberge du Cellier in the picturesque village of Montner, nestling in the foothills of the Pyrenees. This is one of our favourite haunts for wine tours, and we're thrilled to return yet again. Our regular guide Sarah Ginty will lead us daily on walks through the vines, stopping to taste a range of excellent wines from the highly regarded Agly Valley wine producers, returning in the evenings to sample the delights of Pierre Marin's excellent cuisine.
Further tours for 2012 will be announced later in the year.
