WALKING WINE TOUR to ROUSSILLON

Participants are responsible for booking their own flights and travel insurance

Price of tour includes 5 nights accommodation, all meals, transport from and to Barcelona airport, all winery visits and tastings, service of a local guide (excluding air fares and travel insurance):

£700 per person (based on two people sharing a double room).
Price to be confirmed, depending on number of participants.
Single supplement applies.

£50 non-refundable deposit payable to A M Ferguson as early as possible to secure a place. The group number is limited to 10 places maximum.

Balance to be paid one month before departure.

Preliminary itinerary details:

Acccommodation will be at the Auberge du Cellier in the village of Montner nestling in the foothills of the Pyrenees a short distance inland from Perpignan.

We are delighted to return yet again to the auberge to be welcomed by owner and local celebrity chef Pierre Louis Marin and his wife. Pierre creates gastronomic dishes for our pleasure, matching innovative Catalan-style cuisine with a range of local wines. Be prepared to have your taste-buds dazzled!

Our guide, Sarah Ginty, is a local mountain guide who will lead us each day on our walks through the ‘garrigue’, carefully planned to lead us to vineyards and wineries on route taking in vineyard tours and tastings, stopping off for lunch in local village restaurants, and enjoying one midday Catalan-style picnic.

Expect to walk about 3 or 4 hours per day. The walks will at times be over rough paths, and there may be some climbs, but these will not be too steep for the average walker. Just enough to work up our appetites for dinner!
