Oriole Wine Education has had a very successful year from September 2010 to June 2011. A total of three WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits Courses were held over the year, and also a WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits Course. Candidates worked hard to achieve excellent results.
Most of the candidates were employees from local companies, representing the wine retail and wholesale trade, and the hospitality sector from across the province. Local employers are now more than ever aware of the need to train staff in wine and spirit knowledge in the current highly competitive business environment.
Many other candidates were enthusiasts, taking the courses for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment of learning about wine!
During August 2011 the first group of students enrolled on the Level 2 Award in Spirits, and a further course is planned for later in 2012.
The next Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits course will begin on Wednesday 21 September. To request a course programme, please email through the Contact Page. A further course will be offered in January 2012.
The next WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits is also scheduled to start in January 2012, and the full course programme will be available later in the autumn.
